Nebraska Army Air Fields

(under construction...)

During World War II, Nebraska was a major United States Army Air Force (USAAF) training center for pilots and aircrews of USAAF fighters and bombers. Nebraska was favored because it has excellent, year-round flying conditions. The sparsely populated land made ideal locations for gunnery, bombing, and training ranges.

???? of these Army Air Fields in Nebraska were used to train B-29 Combat Crews in WWII, and ?? Army Air Field was used as a point of deployment for overseas action.
